The first steps in spiritual walk include: doctrine (scripture), fellowship, breaking of bread and prayer. This teaching focuses on scripture - the importance of scripture and provides a framework on how you can get more from scripture.
Your relationship with God is the currency of your intercession. Every effective intercession begins with an intimate and functional relationship with God. God can do without our prayers but chooses not to as He wants to partner with Man in accomplishing His purposes.
God is moving us to a state of being blessed (productive
and fulfilled) but we need to partner with him. Partnership with Him requires us to observe certain critical principles: 1) Acknowledging God as your source. 2) Doing God’s work God’s way. 3) Acting in faith.
Blessing is a supernatural endowment of God that makes you productive and fulfilled. When you begin a journey with God it is already successfully completed as He knows the end from the beginning. True blessedness can never be found outside of God. The blessing of the Lord comes to those who have faith in Him. When you have faith, you please God.For you to become productive and live a fulfilled life, you need to develop faith in God.
A Christian walk must be anointed to be effective. Character will protect your anointing, but your anointing will not protect your character. If you are given before you are made, you will make a big mess of that which you are given (Isaiah 64:8). Character traits required to protect the legacy - 1) Faithfulness to the Lord. Faithfulness to God is our fortification; it prevents the enemy from robbing us. 2) Being legacy-minded - understanding the true value of the legacy. 3) Honouring the Lord more
than people. 4) A heart set on seeking God. We are first ministers to God before we are
ministers of God. God wants to mould us so that we may have the kind of character that will protect the legacy of our fathers.
To be God's business partner you need to care about what is important to God, his people. God is in a business of souls and his profit is eternal life. Why partner with God? When you save a soul, you become God's business partner. 1) Souls are valuable and they matter to God (Mark 8:36-37). 2) Every soul longs for God. 3) Because every soul that sins shall die (Ezekiel 18:4) and 4) Because a highest price was paid for its redemption (1 Peter 1:18-19).
God has called us from where we are and has given us the promise of greatness. But en route to greatness, there are three things that he expects from us: 1) Sacrificial Living 2) To Get Out of Potiphar’s House 3) To Pursue His Knowledge
Jesus is risen. His resurrection is still as powerful
today as it was when it happened. The implications of his Resurrection. 1) His resurrection implies divinity. The fact that Jesus dies is not proof itself that Jesus is God but his resurrection validates who he claims to be. 2) Commission to proclaim good
news. 3) Surety of His Promises 4) His resurrection guarantees
our resurrection. 5) Assurance of salvation. FOUR ASPECTS OF SALVATION: Regeneration, Justification, Sanctification & Glorification.
