Parents are a gift from God. Your mother might not be there but God has given you someone (grandmother, aunty, teacher, mother in church, sister, etc.) who plays the role of a mother in your life God does not want to feel hurt but to appreciate the one he gave you.
God expect us to have right attitude and actions towards parents. Parents are not perfect. we must love them because you too are not perfect.

Ephesians 6:2
“Honor your father and mother”—which is the first commandment with a promise.
AGES: 2-5 YEARS
• Encourage the kids to spend the day appreciating their mothers.
Examples include:
•Help make their favourite breakfast
•Help clean the house
•Write a special message
•Sing a song for them
•Read a poem and pray for their mothers
•Buy them a special gift, and many more.
Activity:
• Draw on a piece of paper 3 things that your mother does for you that you appreciate.
• Show it to your mother once you are done and tell her about it.
Application:
Who did the flames of fire fall on? Allow them to answer (Acts 2:3).
AGES: 6-13 YEARS
• Name 10 mothers from the Bible (give their names)
• Name 10 mothers from the church
• Name 10 mothers around the world
Special treat for the best mother in the world:
Step 1: write these words on a paper:
1) change the nappy
2) breakfast in bed
3) my favorite movie
4) head massage
5) foot massage
6) prepare dinner
7) hang the clothes and take them after drying
Step 2:
Cut them and place them in a small bowl or a small plastic.
Step 3: Your mother will need to pick 3 things that she would like you to do for her for 3 days (fathers can assist).
Step 4:
Take a picture of the activities and send it your teacher.
