God want us to remember all the time that He is our refuge or our shelter from evil. He promises to help us and even to send his angels to guard us from any harm. He promises to answer to the prayers of the one who loves Him. He loves being part of our lives.

AGES: 2-5 YEARS  

Activity:
• Start by singing the song “Jesus you are my Superhero”.
Read the verses to the kids always remember to declare the psalm over them with the attitude of prayer.

Write on paper these words in capital letters “THE LORD IS MY REFUGE” write each word in a different colour.  For example:
1. The Lord in Red
2. Is in yellow.
3. My in green
4. Refuge in Blue

Application:
• Read together with the kids until they get familiar with the words and the colour.

PRAYER

Dear Lord thank you for loving me and for being interested in my live. Thank you for commanding the angels to look after me. I pray for divine protection over my life; my family; my church; my country; my school in Jesus name. amen!

• Before we start with the lesson today, you can quote Psalms 91 from verse one to 16. if not, how many verses can quote so far? Can you promise by next week that you can quote the full psalm?
• Let's read from verse 9 to 16 and try to get the message of God to us so that we may know how to live here on earth.

• What happens when we make the Lord our refuge?
• Who will God command to guard us?
• What do you understand by trample the great lion and serpent?
• What decision can you make after reading the verses?
• Why will God rescue us?
• What does God promise when we call on Him?
• What else does God promise when we follow Him?
