Five lessons we can learn from Elijah. 1. Lesson of usefulness. God uses people who are available, your background does not matter. 2. Lesson of prophecy. The power of the prophetic word - it can shift the trajectory of your life. Prophecy ushers Gods presence and brings revival. 3. Lesson of provision. Do not be concerned about the means just know God is your provider, wherever he guides he supplies. 4. Lesson of obedience. Unquestioning obedience, take God at his word. 5. Lesson of power. We need to demonstrate and translate the power of God in our generation. Are you willing to be part of a generation that ushered revival in your land?

The essence of God refers to God's spirituality - what makes God, God. If taken away God ceases to be God. The attributes refers to the character of God i.e. unchangeable . Because man changes and God is unchangeable, God has to change his dealings with man. The more we understand God's essence and attributes this will contribute to our behavior, character and effectiveness. God can provide for our needs but our doings block his providence which is why we need to re-position ourselves. Where are you in relation to God?
For revival to come and be maintained, there are things that need to be done. God has always wanted for His presence to be a blessing and not a curse . Every time that God turns up, it is for a blessing. Every time that revival turns up, something goes wrong for other people as a result of disobedience.
A day of thanking and giving praises to the Lord. Not a day of petition, but a day of praise ! Thank God the way you know God ministered to you. The beauty of praise and thanksgiving is not in emotions but in His will. Knowing that regardless of how one feels, they will praise Him. When you take prayer and the Word of God, it releases the power of God and opens doors for breakthrough.
The missing link in our homes is the presence of God – When you come in the presence of the Master in faith, He knows exactly the needs that you have. 3 Observations in Families: 1. Prayerlessness in families - compromises the core value of the church. 2. Conflict in families (result of prayerlessness) - conflict that leads to unacceptable behaviours in Christian families. 3. Lack of the study of God in families - train children the way of the Lord.
If you want to live a Christian life in a proper manner, learn to live a joyful life. This is not happiness (based on events) but joy (internal energy that drives one's life regardless of what is going on). When you know that God is control and things are not working, you will know that things will be alright. Be always in a state of prayer and give thanks in all circumstance. The only balancing thing in life is to be in the presence of God - Praying without ceasing
Feasting or fasting, what do you want? God has designed life for feasting and fasting to be taking place all the time.
Whatever we do, it should always be in pursuit of truth, love and peace. Without the pursuit of peace, love and truth, fasting or feasting can become a ritual devoid of meaning.
God is still God irrespective of what happened, He is still God. Having what you want or not, He is
still God. People come and go, He is still God. He rules in heaven and in the kingdom of darkness He has authority to overrule. Even if the kingdom of darkness comes against you in full force, do not worry for I am still God and I rule everywhere. I am God in all seasons.

Communion with God is the loving fellowship with Him in Christ. It simply means that I begin to pursue God and look for Him; and go into a deep relationship because of Christ. His interest becomes my interest. It is also the inner desire to always keep in touch with God.
