Jesus came on earth with a mission: to save the world.

In Luke 4:18 Jesus successfully accomplished the mission by the power of the Holy Spirit. When He was baptized, the heavens opened, a dove came upon Him and a voice was heard affirming His Lordship.

The time before His crucifixion, Jesus started preparing the disciples to await the promise of the Spirit. Acts 2:2

- Like a mighty rushing wind the Spirit of God came upon the disciples in the Upper room

- He doesn't come to destroy, His purpose is to help people accomplish their mission.- He can come in a gentle way or as a mighty rushing wind.

Though the disciples were initially fearful, when the Spirit of God came upon them they were transformed and became bold.

Great Strategy: the church is the one set to fulfill the Great Commandment & Commission

City Leaders must be non compromising and resolute people, filled and equipped by the Holy Spirit.

- We will infiltrate and penetrate all sectors of society.

- Whatever you're studying is not just for the sake of living a good life

a) Wind: John 20:22

- Represents the invisible power of God?- Gives guidance and direction?- Jesus gave them His life (His breath)

Genesis 2:7

- God breathed into the man and he became a living being/soul. When the breath of God made contact with the clay, the soul was formed.

Job 33:4

- The breath of the Almighty gives us life?

- Life and death are under the power of the tongue; wherever we are we need to speak life to bring life.

Ezekiel 37:1-10 (Valley of dry bones)

v3: Sovereign- He is in control, He doesn't need to give account to anyone

v5: No matter how difficult (dry) your situation is, life will be breathed

v6: Where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is life

v9: Prophesy to the breath...Let the Spirit anoint your tongue

- Four winds: the Spirit of God is manifold

v10:  Looking at the world we might just be seeing people who are lost but they await the Spirit of God to come upon them

v14: I will put my Spirit in you and you will live. There's no tough situation when the Spirit of God is at work

b) Fire: Acts 2:3 Tongues of fire

Fire comes with different purposes

i) Refining: impurities being taken away from us. When these unnecessary things are removed  then we can impact the world. Things like low self esteem, lying tongues, hypocrisy etc need to be removed

ii) Judgment: God is a consuming fire. The men who threw Shadrach, Meshach & Abednego were consumed

c)  River

d) Oil

e) Rain

f) Dove
