You can never be committed to God fully or committed to wealth fully. Lord – Yahweh Adonai. Where you choose to invest your trust decides where you end up or how you end up in life. We end up being what we are because of the choices we make. The Power of the name – Names are used to distinguish, describe (define), associate nature, character or attributes. Some of us do not know how to maximise the name of the Lord – God is powerful. God is just not Yahweh, He is Yahweh Adonai. Never neglect the power of a name – it opens or closes doors (opportunities). God is a faithful God. As you mature, begin to make dangerous prayers – God’s word is truth, he can never lie. God is not moved about your current situation, He is sure about His power.
For revival to come and be maintained, there are things that need to be done. God has always wanted for His presence to be a blessing and not a curse . Every time that God turns up, it is for a blessing. Every time that revival turns up, something goes wrong for other people as a result of disobedience.
Throughout generations, God has always scattered His people as seeds to respond to the needs of His humanity. As seeds in Gods' hands we don't have to choose where God must plant us but to go where He is scattering us to. It's not by chance that you are where you are today, it is His plan for your life. The church exists to do what matters to God.
What kind of people does God us to fulfill His purpose?
The scattered community (Acts 8:4-8)
1. People shaped by the word of God (Jeremiah 20:7-9)
2. People filled with the Holy Spirit (Acts1:8)
3. People strengthened by faith (Matthew 17:18-20)
4. People energized through prayer (Acts 4:31)
5. People compelled by love (2 Corinthians 5:14-20)
What Really is going on in our city?
- City life has always a dark side to it
- The church must not be ignorant of its mandate in the city
- The church must be discerning the real issues in the city.
Where to from here?
- The church must move from praise to proclamation
- From ministry to mission
Trust is tied to obedience and obedience brings blessings. The center of gravity in human life is God, if you remove God from the equation of life society will be doomed.
Humanity is suffering from - "The vanity of idolatry."
To place confidence in the wisdom, power, or character of any man which ought to be placed in God only.

If you want to live a Christian life in a proper manner, learn to live a joyful life. This is not happiness (based on events) but joy (internal energy that drives one's life regardless of what is going on). When you know that God is control and things are not working, you will know that things will be alright. Be always in a state of prayer and give thanks in all circumstance. The only balancing thing in life is to be in the presence of God - Praying without ceasing
Feasting or fasting, what do you want? God has designed life for feasting and fasting to be taking place all the time.
Whatever we do, it should always be in pursuit of truth, love and peace. Without the pursuit of peace, love and truth, fasting or feasting can become a ritual devoid of meaning.

If the church is functional from within then it can fulfill its mandate. Something is not true because it's in the bible; but it' in the bible because it's true. One of those important truths found in the bible is the relationship between the reach and depth. You cannot sustain height if you don't have depth. The ministry of the church to the world is to represent Jesus Christ, to reveal Him, and to release His power.

Prepare your minds for action; because where there's no mind change, there will be no life change. Every meaningful change that occurs in your life is a result of a mind change. 1. The power of proper preparation - make provision before the need arises. 2. As your mind goes, so goes your life - one of the most important thing is the renewal of mind. 3. There are things you need to do in order to see transformational change
What enabled our forefathers to achieve great things: their Christian Profile, their Christian Practice and their Christian Power. THE CHURCH IS NOT CONFINED TO FOUR WALLS. The Church of Jesus Christ is people, His people of every race and nation who love Christ and are committed to both the great commandment and the great commission.
Mature people understand intuitively that in this life there are some things worth fighting for; worth sacrificing for. Enoch walked with God after he begat Methuselah, the question is after being born again have you began walking with God? Are you walking with God? Do you have an experience with God? Mature people show up to change the society and immature people live to show off. Characteristics of mature people:
1. Noticed [Job 1:6-8, John 1:35-42, Luke 5:1-5] . Mature people are noticed by heaven. Can heaven notice you?
2. Christ Centred [ 2 Corinthians 3:18; Philippians 1:21; Hebrews 12:1-3]. Mature people live a Christ centred life. Mature people spend time beholding on Jesus Christ. Jesus Christ became the first priority.
3. Mission driven [ John 4:34; John 17:4,18]. Mature people are mission driven people.
Do you work for a living or work for the living? Mature people are productive spiritually.
