In order to keep our faith relevant in this generation our claims must be matched by our conduct. Christianity is not talk but a walk, we must walk as Jesus did. Biggest barrier to soul winning - Prejudice: Cultural, Racial, National and Religious. The first liberating and empowering truth is that: 1) Jesus Christ is Lord of all. 2) Jesus Christ is a role model for us all because a) his mission was divine, b) his purpose was redemptive, c) his scope was universal and d) his involvement signaled the triumph of love. The purpose of the anointing is to empower people to function: a) Prophets declare, b) Priests provide and c) Kings supply.

Christian walk is not a stroll in a park. A clash of powers of an epic proportion between the kingdom of darkness and the Kingdom of Light is raging on over the souls of humans. The goal is to influence how people
Think, Believe, and Behave; ultimately who they Worship. Christian walk must be anointed to be effective. Why do we need the anointing, because 1) We are living in end-times when Satan is trying to influence human culture through seduction; using deception to distort people’s values, priorities, beliefs and behaviours. There are three faces to what we call world system: a) Pleasure, b) Possessions and c) Power.
2) We need to remain true to the tenets of our Christian faith in order to be able to change the course of many people’s future. 3) We have been given the privilege not only to stand for Christ (Truth) but also to save people at all cost.
A Mature Christian Walk is generally characterized by an ardent gratitude to God and a deep concern for His honour. 1) Gratitude to God. "Thoughtful people are grateful people". a) His faithfulness, b) His grace, c) His goodness and d) His mercy. 2) Concern for God’s honour. “Our perspective in life is affected by our perception of God.” a) Relationship - Elohim, Yahweh and Adonai, b) Revelation and c) Revival. “Revival is the awakening or quickening of God’s people to their true nature and purpose". This biblical maturity stems from a commitment to an important question; “What can I do for my God?” This kind of maturity calls for devotion to God, dedication to his will and work, disciplined lifestyle, as well as diligence.
In view of the much anticipated coming age, we should endeavour to make the best use of our time by serving God with dedication as well as saving as many souls as we possibly can regardless of our current circumstances. 1) In a little while: a) we shall close this chapter. b) we shall be reunited with our Lord Jesus Christ. c) we shall be rewarded. 2) In the meantime: a) Let us practice prayer. Prayer is both a means and an end because it is that confidence in and submission to God (John 2:1-3). b) Let us practice love. Love is the royal law without which all our activities become resounding gongs and clanging cymbals. 3) In this way: Our God will be praised in all things through Jesus Christ. Our God gets the glory when we’re prayerful and loving people.
Success does not perpetuate itself by chance; it’s often through instruction and inspiration that any population group attain true development (gradual growth or progress, more useful, better). In order to successfully pass on a God honoring-People empowering legacy, there is at least seven priority needs (necessary duties): 1) The need to be forward-thinking - Pioneering, Prioritizing, Planning and Strategizing. 2) The need to determine one’s ultimate desired outcome. God’s honor and People’s edification. 3) The need to be fruitful. Abide in Christ, Be Christ-like and Do life in a life-giving way. 4) The need to be impactful. There’s no real impact without influence. Influence is a resultant of trust, respect, and like-ability. 5) The need to remain true to the tenets of our Christian Faith. Foundational truths frame our worldview which dictates our behavior. 6) The need to adapt our methods coupled with the courage to not adopt the prevailing culture. 7) The need to courageously seize all God-given opportunities to turn things around for the better.

Thinking, aspiring and instructing are some of the most important qualities that should be in a leader’s life. Fundamental truths worth handing down: 1) It is all about God but it is up to us. Divine sovereignty does not negate human responsibility. If you give your best to God, He will do the rest. 2) True success is based on taking the word of God seriously. Revelation must be followed by response. 3) Faith is important for success in life. Its expression is found in the worship of God and in obedience to God.
4) Individual are capable of great good and worse evil. Relationships are critically important, yet extremely fragile.
Therefore, do your best to preserve them. 5) There's tremendous power in prayer. He who kneels before God, can stand before any man
or any challenge.
"Our biggest struggle in life is to appreciate the life that is truly life as well as our Heavenly Fathers disposition towards us". Religion does not promote relationships. Cause for people to drift away: foolishness, greed, recklessness and rebellion. The course results in people being further and farther in search of freedom and fun. Which leads to crunch time - things beyond human control; hunger and need. Critical steps necessary to head back home: cure, clear thinking (repentance) and concrete steps.
“People as well as institutions
which dare to be different, not
weird or spooky, tend to make a
difference in society. Samuel was such man!”. Samuel made a big difference on the landscape of his nation. Samuel dared to be different in an apostate society. Three types of people: those who never grow, those who grow imperfectly
those who grow steadily. Samuel continued to grow in four areas: spirit, mind, character and zeal.
Tucked between Christ’s resurrection and ours to come is the church of God on a mission here on earth to influence the way people think, how they behave, and who they ultimately glorify. But, any local church that allows the local culture to invade her will certainly fail in her mission. 1) What makes us the church of God: i) the life of God we share, ii) the will of God we submit to and iii) the work of God we seek to promote. 2) What threatens the church of God? The guiding philosophies of this age which are shaping the people of our generation: humanism, moral laxity, and personal selfishness. 3) What may cause the church of God to fail?: lack of readiness, courage and moral convictions. 4) What will help the church of God succeed ? The message of the Cross delivered in the power of the Resurrection with a steadfast faith, an unmovable hope, and an enthusiastic work done out of love for God and his people.
How you respond to the revelation of Jesus Christ has a massive bearing on how you live. People who are enthusiastic about the kingdom, wise in their day to day dealings, and relevant contributors to society are usually those who have understood and responded correctly to the revelation of Jesus Christ. People’s problem is a Sin (human rebellion against God) - people wanting to be as God or people choosing to live without God. Sin has brought devastating consequences on the human race. People’s solution to the Sin problem is Jesus Christ. People who respond well to Jesus Christ’s revelation tend to live right because: i) Pay attention to his divine identity and life-giving word, ii) Purse him passionately, iii) Prioritize his will, iv) Proclaim him to the rest and v) Persuade others for him.
