It’s better to trust in a God who is big enough to respond to our many needs with his great deeds. To look somewhere else for provision and protection is both foolishness and vanity. 1) Great Deeds (Gens. 3:21). Man’s many needs demand for a God who can respond with great deeds. God’s great deeds in response to our many needs are predicated on account of his nature. 2) Great God. His greatness, in contrast to the vanity of idols, is vindicated by: His position and His disposition. He is Great God because of His ability to: a) think b) speak c) see d) hear e) discern f) feel g) act (Exo. 3:7-10). 3) Great Wisdom. Wise people trust in God. Choose to trust in God and enjoy his blessing
Divine Visitations are generally intended to turn a bad situation into a good one. They are often a sovereign act of God in response to the prayers of His people. Wise people turn to God because they realize that human powerlessness can only be effectively fixed by him alone who can transform situations of human helplessness. God is able to do great things for those who choose to trust and obey him - Gen. 21:1-2 & Exo. 3:7-10. What should be our presuppositions: 1) Challenging times have an expiry date. 2) God is sovereign and in control. 3) God is merciful. 4) God is the great cause of all good. What should be our Posture: “When people selfishly satisfy their personal desires at all costs, everyone pays the price”. 1) Shift. “Look away from, Look to (Cradle-love, Cross-mercy, Crown-grace)”. 2) Switch. “Discover things to get rid of, things to do, and things to beware”. 3) Select. “Find a committed minority ones”. 4) Act. “Move with focus and determination”. Psa. 1:1-2 & 121:1-2; 2 Cor. 3:18 & Heb. 12:1-2.

“The unfinished work of the Church is to make sure every person on earth hears about the finished work of the Cross” Louie Giglio. If a church becomes a social movement it faces the danger of self-centred living; rooted in traditionalism, pride, and exclusivity. This kind of church will miss the point as well as her reward. An unhealthy preoccupation with personal possessions and natural affections is the main reason why many reject the gracious invitation of God. People come up with lame excuses when their priority is out of order. There will still be a great banquet with many people in attendance based on three facts: a) What God purpose to do will always prevail. b) There is a category of people who will respond to God’s gracious invitation in honour of a sacrificial preparation; the deficient and the destitute. c)There is an effective method which will produce better results; ANAGKAZO - Persuade. Where there’s a need, God raises a servant. Change their opinion through communion.

Gift-giving, whether for pacification or appreciation purposes, is an ancient practice as old as humanity itself. But what we have never been good at is to understand the motivations and outcomes of this practice.Motivation: 1) Performance - this kind is the cheapest and easiest way to honour your God. The action is normally in response to some action that directly benefits us. 2) Person -this kind is costly as it is based on relationship and principle of honour. The action is in response to the revelation of who God is. 3) Prophetic - prayerful individuals. This kind is often is response to some divine revelation. Mount Moriah had both a rich history and a rich future. Outcomes: 1) Affluence 2) Influence.
A thoughtful person will not only recognize the active involvement of Christ in the events of her life, but will also pause and ask about the best possible way to honour Him in some practical ways. Satan has always wanted to harm you. His plans are to Steal, Kill and Destroy. Christ did more than “your Mordecai”. “Christ has always played an incredibly major role, through his providence, in the drama of your life’s experience.” Christ has: Preserved, Protected, Provided, Prospered and Promoted you. Christ deserves more honour and recognition than “your Mordecai” therefore you must: 1) Bless Him at all times. 2) Praise, pray, and pay your dues. 3) Give thanks to Him. 4) Trust, acknowledge, fear, and honour Him.

God’s blessing on your assignment will not make the work easy to do. But you ought to arm yourself with faith and perseverance to complete your God-given assignment. 1) Be diligent to get back to the Book. The real purpose of the Church in the City is Cultural Reform of Our Communities. The Church of Christ is meant to come up with solutions to complex issues of life that society is faced with. a) Guidance and b) Grounding. 2) Be diligent to restructure and work according to the Template. The power of the Church in the City lies in her capacity to operate God’s way. 3) Be diligent to celebrate your Christian Heritage. The glory of the Church in the City is fully reflected when she embraces her difference. The Church is required to adapt her methods but not to adopt the current culture of our communities. #TaketheRisktoTryAgain

It is easy to allow a delay beyond your control to become a delay of your own choosing. As you trust God and persevere in doing what He has called you to do, He Himself will provide all that you need to succeed. Four facts about God's work. God's work requires: 1) Honouring God's Cause. Doing Gods work is first and foremost a Matter of Attitude rather than aptitude. 2) Believing God's Word. God's word provides the necessary Direction and Encouragement to do God's work. 3) Relying on God's Help. Prayer is the surest expression of our dependency on God. 4) Trusting in God's Providence. Your promotion and difficulty always go together but you need to trust in God. #TakeTheRiskToTryAgain

Nothing of eternal value that is attempted for God will go unchallenged and rarely the enemy will leave any tactic unexplored in order to disrupt the work. But God’s people in every age have faced these problems and with His help overcame them. Four common tactics that cause setbacks and standstills: 1) Deceit - retarded efforts and compromised faith. 2) Discouragement and Fear - de-motivation and inaction. 3) Disorder - misunderstanding, division and lack of productivity. 4) Discredit - character assassination. The enemy did not succeed. He just delayed the work, he did not defeat it. Hence you can take the risk to try again.

One of the paradoxes of life is; if you want to overcome life’s challenges Don't Focus On Them”. Because humans have Very Little Control over many things. a) Too much to handle. b) So many needs yet so little supply. c) Very desperate situations. d) Too late to do anything and e) There seems to be no way out. However, humans have A Saviour who has control over everything. Our Saviour is: Omnipresent, Omnipotent and Omniscient. Humans have the duty to Seek, Trust, and Worship him.
What you make of Jesus Christ will have a tremendous bearing on how you view life and experience it. 1) What you are fundamentally searching for: a) Meaning - what makes sense in this life? Until you establish who Jesus is to you, life will be meaningless. What you make of Jesus determines what you experience in life. b) Fulfillment - feeling full and satisfied. 2) What life is trying to teach you on a daily basis: a) No human being is capable to truly satisfy your deepest needs. b) There is a hole in your soul that only God can fill. 3) What Jesus Christ claims about Himself: Yahweh (I am what I am). Revealer of God's love (works) and God's truths (words). Jesus Christ claims because He is God, He alone can satisfy your seven deepest longings: i) True fulfillment ii) True wisdom for living iii) True freedom iv) True wellness v) True Restoration vi) True sense of direction and v) True fruitfulness. What should your response to Jesus claims be: Believe that Jesus Christ is Lord and God, worthy of devoted worship and service, so that you will enjoy eternal life.
