What enabled our forefathers to achieve great things: their Christian Profile, their Christian Practice and their Christian Power. THE CHURCH IS NOT CONFINED TO FOUR WALLS. The Church of Jesus Christ is people, His people of every race and nation who love Christ and are committed to both the great commandment and the great commission.
Mature people understand intuitively that in this life there are some things worth fighting for; worth sacrificing for. Enoch walked with God after he begat Methuselah, the question is after being born again have you began walking with God? Are you walking with God? Do you have an experience with God? Mature people show up to change the society and immature people live to show off. Characteristics of mature people:
1. Noticed [Job 1:6-8, John 1:35-42, Luke 5:1-5] . Mature people are noticed by heaven. Can heaven notice you?
2. Christ Centred [ 2 Corinthians 3:18; Philippians 1:21; Hebrews 12:1-3]. Mature people live a Christ centred life. Mature people spend time beholding on Jesus Christ. Jesus Christ became the first priority.
3. Mission driven [ John 4:34; John 17:4,18]. Mature people are mission driven people.
Do you work for a living or work for the living? Mature people are productive spiritually.
Jesus Christ is our Lord and Saviour. Let us not fix our eyes only on his benefits without acknowledging His Lordship over lives. The position that Jesus Christ occupy in our lives must be our focus than just focusing on His benefits. Yes He is your saviour but have you given Him His position as Lord in your life?. The implications of the Lordship of Jesus Christ:
(1) His Lordship implies His ownership. Jesus owns everything, He entrusted us with everything as stewards and we have to be accountable to Him.
(2) His Lordship implies supremacy in authority. In Jesus Christ all things holds together. We have to be faithful followers of Jesus Christ through: (a) Denying yourself. (b) Take up your cross. (c) Follow Him
(3) His Lordship implies the fullness of God. In Christ is found the fullness of God. Jesus Christ is God and because He is God: (a) He is able to fully reveal God to us. It takes God to reveal Himself,
(b) He is able to redeem us.
(c) He deserve to be worshipped.

The will of God is for us to grow in very domain of life. We have to grow in the fear of God. The fear of God is a sense of awe in reverence and deep respect for God because of who He is. Three reasons for fearing the LORD: (i) You will receive the favor of God in your life - Daniel 1:48, (ii) God will give you access to divine revelation - Daniel 2:10-11,2:14-19; (iii) God will protect you - Daniel 3:6-18, 3:25-30. Characteristics of a person that fear the LORD: (i) Living in purity - Daniel 1:8, Psalm 19:9; (ii) Always seeking God for guidance - Daniel 2:14-30; (iii) Being the truth teller - Daniel 3: 16-18; (iv) Uncompromise practise of spiritual disciplines - Daniel 6:10-13; (v) Obedience - Ecclesiastic 12:13
Think about your legacy. What legacy are you going to leave? If your name is mentioned when you are not around, what are people going to say about you? Naomi had a good legacy. Her legacy can be explained as follows: (i) Strength of character (ii) Unshakable faith in God in the midst of dark times (iii) Commitment to empowering the next generation.

Why is it important to participate? God grows people through participation – someone matures when they are hands on doing it. Until you participate, you development is hampered. The more you get involved in what is important to God, the more you mature. People that participate cheerfully get involved in the things of God.
The power of the written Word: We need what is written - It has power. What is written can change the colour of your enemy. What is written has stopped the party of the enemy. What is written can make the knees of the enemy tremble in fear
The single most important gain in being in Christ is the new life that places us in a privileged relationship of son ship. What did we gain in Christ? 1. The ability to freely seek and access God's mind 2. The ability to freely take action in obedience 3. The ability to freely move in God's kind of authority
What does the presence of the Lord do for us: 1. Gives us guidance through the Holy Spirit - the communicated knowledge is not enough, it is the revealed knowledge that holds substance 2. Gives us protection 3. Gives us power 4. Give us peace 5. Gives us victory - we do not fight for a place of victory but from a place of victory!
Jesus is no ordinary man, He is an extraordinary man. Jesus did not change His attitude towards the person who betrayed Him. The reason of Him being betrayed is not because he offended anyone but to set the captives free, to open the prison doors. In order for us to be strong men and women, we need to embrace the full gospel. The church needs to be ready for times when things do not go the way they expected. There will be seasons in our live in which Jesus will allow us to carry our own crosses.
