Holy Spirit Seminar Day 2: Spirit filled Church and Spirit filled believer

Your hunger and thirst for God will determine how much you receive from Him. The state of your heart determines what you receive from God. What made Daniel and Moses outstanding is the Spirit of God upon them. Never try to do anything without depending on the Holy Spirit.

Exodus 25:9, 40; 35:30 - 31

God starts by choosing you.
- You have been chosen by God to do His work.
- God is a God of precision. When He guides you, He gives you precise details for you to fulfill your calling.
- God cannot reveal your calling without giving you a pattern to follow.

The fact that God chose you doesn't mean that you have to choose others to help you complete the work. God chooses those He wants to help you.
- He will fill you and your destiny helpers with His Spirit, skill, ability and knowledge.
- Never depend on your own knowledge and understanding.

Daniel 1:20
What made Daniel and his friends outstanding is the Spirit of God upon them.

No matter the domain (education, health, entertainment, government, environment, family, etc) God has placed you in, you need to be filled with the Holy Spirit to excel and make an impact.
- Wherever you are, it has to be evident that you are anointed by the Holy Spirit.

God is a God of excellence.
- He desires to fill you with His Spirit, give you the skill, abilities and knowledge to excel in your calling.

Acts 7:22
Moses was powerful in both speech and action, however, he still needed to be filled with the Spirit of God to excel.
- Numbers 11:17-18
- Never try to do anything without depending on the Holy Spirit.
- Moses was highly educated but still needed the Holy Spirit in order for him to fulfill his calling.

Numbers 11:29
You need to be hungry and thirsty for the presence of God in your life.
- The Holy Ghost only fills those who are hungry and thirsty for Him.

Philippians 3:5; Acts 13:8 - 11
You can't confront the evil world without the Holy Spirit.
- Do not go into warfare without you being filled with the Holy Spirit.

To be filled with the Holy Spirit is a continuous lifestyle.
- It is different from the one time experience of being baptised by the Holy Spirit.

Acts 11:24
May God take time to talk about you.

If you want to live an effective life which makes a difference in other people's lives, you have no choice but to desire and pray to be filled with the Holy Spirit.
- God never sends you without filling you with His Holy Spirit.

Luke 4:1
It's one thing to be filled with the Holy Spirit, you also need to be led by the Holy Spirit.
- To be filled with the Holy Spirit doesn't just happened but it is based on the state of your heart.
- Your heart is like a magnet.

Your hunger and thirst for God will determine how much you receive from Him.
- The state of your heart determines what you receive from God.
- Don't allow your heart to be hardened towards God.

Isaiah 66:2
How to live a Spirit filled lifestyle:

  • Consecration
  • The Word - mediating on God's Word
  • Prayer
  • Fasting
  • Worship

You need to live a Spirit filled life as virtue continuously leaves you as you do God's will.
- Acts 4:30-31
- If the Apostles had to be continuously filled with the Holy Spirit, what about you?

What is the condition of your heart?

Micah 3:8
You can never face the world victoriously without being filled with the Holy Spirit.

The Holy Spirit will lead you to your enemy for your to overcome him and possess his territory.
- Each battle you face is an indication that your are at the brink of your victory and possessing the territory God has destined for you.
- Every new level has new demons.

The devil will do all he can to weaken you so that you stop praying, reading the Bible and fasting.

Acts 6:3
The prerequisite for greatness is the deep desire for God's presence.
- There are certain stubborn situations in your life that can only stop when you have sought God's face for direction.
